Dear June & all,

Sure hate I didn't come see you but seems like the time just flew by and you know how childish Daddy is, so I stayed right there as long as I could. My trip back was real tiresome, there was so many negroes going for the Holidays and, believe me I didnt know they made that many different flavors of negroe perfume. I still smell it, I guess it must have got 2 in my hair, but I'll take a shampoo in the morning with some Lye soap. They smell bad enough when there only one or two, but when you get about 50 together its a terrible smell. Jack was glad to get me back home, he is so good about letting me come out there to see my folks, I try not to stay to long when I come. I really enjoyed being with all of them and had some good laughs. Well June I was so sorry about little Richie, some times 3 we think the Lord is unfair to us, but he knows best. It is so hard to take some of the things we have to, but just keep believing that he knows best. I know the path looks awful dark at times and we think our Savior has forsakened us, but he really hasn't. When you think you just can't stand the sorrow, just turn to God and ask for his help. Dont ever lose Faith, believe me June I know.
